Battle Sisters Stride Deck (Pre-GBT05)

Battle Sister, Mille-fueille

Battle Sister, Mille-feuille

Looking for a deck that balances offense and defense? Are you a player that relies on draw power to win, but the draw advantage decks you have tried do not have enough attack power? If you answered yes to these questions, the Battle Sisters of Oracle Think Tank may be for you.

The Battle Sisters sub clan focuses on using draw power to either build a large hand, an optimal field, or both of these during the course of gameplay. Though they originally started getting support in the limit break format, cards that the sub clan received in the legion and stride format allows it to competitive to this day. Here is the deck list:

G-BT01-025EN-R

Soaring Auspicious Beast, Kirin

Grade 4 and grade 3 units of this deck focus on draw power and hand fixing. When Kirin hits, its skill allows the player to look at the top two cards of deck, put up to one of those cards to hand, and the rest to bottom. Gelee’s legion skill allows the player to draw one card for each Battle Sister in the center column and dropping one card from hand at the end of the skill (which could mean up to two cards are kept at the end of the skill). Mille-feuille allows the player to draw one in placement for a counterblast and a soul blast, which can be used before you stride. Dragon King allows the player to put up to three cards from hand to deck at the end of it’s attack, and it allows the player to draw as many cards as the amount that was put back due to his skill. As an additional option, if the player wishes to invest more money in this deck, the player could run two copies of the persona stride for Oracle Think Tank, which supplies more draw power in the late game.

The grade 2 units and grade 1 units focus on supplying options for attackers while supporting the legion. Battle Sister 10K and 12K attackers (Taffy and Macaron respectively) supply attacking options for the deck, either found in fixing columns numbers or attacking in the early game. Tarte is a 10K vanilla Battle Sister, which is good as a grade 2 ride and a possible attacker. Marshmallow and Tarte supply countercharging for the deck, especially since the legion skill for Gelee costs three counterblast.

Battle Sister, Waffle

Battle Sister, Waffle

The grade 0 units consist of mostly of cards with “Battle Sister” in the name, due to the fact that you may need use one for a booster for Gelee’s legion skill. The trigger line up consists of 10 critical triggers, 2 draws, and 4 heals. This trigger line up has been determined after testing due to the pressure that the critical triggers bring, but the additional one or two draw triggers help occasionally. Normally, a good portion of decks like running a trigger line up consisting of 8 critical triggers, 4 draw triggers, and 4 heal triggers. Though that is the case, this deck has enough draw power to more critical triggers and less draw triggers. The starter (also known as Battle Sister, Waffle) allows you to search the top three cards and call a Battle Sister among them to the rear guard, which follows the aggressive strategy of the trigger line up and the rest of the deck.

I hope you enjoyed this deck list. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to put them in the comments section.

  1. Pretty solid list, though I’d swap Mille-feuille for Parfait. I’d also pitch the stride assists in favor of Lollipop (LB enabler) because having Parfait swing for a 21k column immediately (provided you have a 7k booster behind her) is a pretty ridiculous tempo that doesn’t care whether or not you went first, or you couldn’t stride.

I’d probably run either rainbow or 8crit 4stand once the new Battle Sister crit is released. Maybe 10 crit to have access to Psychic Bird’s soul charging but that’s about the only other option.
